Gala Violet’s Latest Video Has People Blushing… and Submitting Evidence
So… “The Truth Between The Ribs” dropped.
And apparently, it landed.
Between breathless reactions, laugh-cries, and a now-legendary moment involving one of our nearest and dearest sending us a full gallery of her “O Face” in solidarity, we realized something:
💋 This is bigger than a song.
💋 This is a facial expression movement.
💋 This… needs a wall.
Thus, we present:
🖼️ “The O Face Wall of Fame” - a safe, hilarious, blush-friendly gathering of those who watched the video and weren’t the same after.

No judgment. No pressure. Just velvet chaos.
Drop your safe-for-sharing reaction face (or a reenactment!) and we might feature it in a follow-up zine, post, or special Behind The Blush mixtape release.
❤️ Special Thanks:
To Naila, for leading the charge.
The Making of the Video (Segment By Tea)
Behind the Scenes at “The Truth Between The Ribs”
Sometimes you just need a place where your whole body can exhale... where the giggles, the moans, and the memories are safe.
Mickey held a safe place for me… for us.
I’ve carried a lot of trauma around art, music, and even just being a girl in the world. I had stalkers. I was roofied. (And honestly… the list is long.)
For years, I hid under oversized men’s clothing. I stopped singing. I stopped putting myself out there. I clung to the wrong people because I thought that was safety.
But it wasn’t.
🎉 O-Face Wall of Fame (Yes, That Face) 🎉
A Tribute to Laughter, Liberation… and a Few Surprised Expressions
There comes a time in every artist’s life when the unexpected O-Face becomes part of the legacy. We’re talking that face... the one you didn’t plan, the one that says “Ohhhh my gods what just happened?” and ends up frozen in time on stage, in the studio, or mid-glamour shot.
“What I called falling apart…
Was really just falling open.”
— Gala Violet, Integration Journal
What started as a private joke between collaborators quickly turned into something more: a little shrine to those moments where joy, shock, and total surrender collide.
But there’s a deeper pulse behind the punchline.
This wall isn’t just about orgasmic vocals or eyebrow-raising selfies. It’s about reclaiming the face you make when you let go. When your body stops bracing for impact. When your nervous system finally says “We’re safe now.”
And for one of us — that moment came after a hell of a climb.
Mickey Fingers Held the Space
After a long season of survival mode, creative shutdowns, and keeping masks on just to function, Mickey Fingers (in all his mysterious showbiz glory) became a steady mirror and mischief-maker. He never pushed, never pried. Just held the door open… until it was safe enough to smile again. To laugh. To be caught off guard... and like it.
And so the O-Face Wall of Fame was born.
A place where blushes are badges. Where silliness is sacred. Where every eyebrow raise and open-mouthed gasp is a reminder: you made it through.
Your First Mistake (Healing Part 1)
“That was their first mistake
thinking I would break.
I was made of storms.
They were just the rain.”
— Gala Violet (Tea Kinsington)
Your First Mistake’ was the moment the spark returned.
I wrote it after years of silence... after someone tried to erase everything I was.
Not just my music.
My sense of self.
I had survived domestic violence.
I had lost art, journals, recordings.
I had lost time, identity, trust.
And I had been told I didn’t matter.
But that was their first mistake.
Thinking I would break.
This song was my way back.
My way of saying:
I am still here. I am free.
I am fire.
And to anyone still trapped, still hiding, still hurting...
You are the dawn.
Take back the night. “This was more than a song.
It was a reckoning.
A resurrection.”
— on ‘Your First Mistake’ I have to laugh to think I thought I was all better
“Recovery isn’t the end of pain,
it’s the beginning of sensation.”
"There are parts of me I buried so deep, even I forgot where they were kept.
I called it safety.
But really… it was silence.
And silence isn’t peace.
It’s the place passion goes to die.”
“But I am opening again.
One breath at a time.
One moan. One truth. One shiver.
I am not afraid of my voice anymore.
And I am not ashamed of what it says"
🌒 The Silent Centers
(a note from the path)
I used to think I was all better.
But recovery isn’t a straight line...it’s a labyrinth.
And sometimes, you don’t realize what’s missing until a flicker of light hits it just right.
I had no idea how many parts of me I’d shut down just to survive.
How quiet I’d made my own voice.
How far away I’d drifted from sensation, desire, or the ability to speak truth without fear of punishment.
My throat chakra… silenced. (actually, from an early age)
My thyroid, my sacral center… depleted, defended, or numb.
It’s hard to name all the ways your power can be taken from you.
Harder still when you’ve lived through touch that was never sacred,
Words that carved more than they ever held.
And encounters (if you can call them that) that felt more like exile than home.
But I am calling it back now.
All of it.
Voice. Pleasure. Fire. Truth.
And not just in the First Mistake.
But in every breath I choose to not apologize for anymore.
“Some wounds bloom only in the dark...
And what grows there is not weakness,
but the holy act of remembering who we are,
when no one is watching.”
-Tea

About the Song
“Some truths don’t speak in words ...
they speak in the ache between heartbeats.”

🎶 New Releases
we’ve got two new albums out.
💔 “My Dysfunctional Valentine” dropped on January 30, featuring two early singles from the upcoming Paper Dolls album — plus a surprise track from Of Starlight & Myth.
Then on February 6, the Of Starlight & Myth sampler steps fully into the light — the first official transmission from the Stardust Archives.
These are two very different creatures:
“Paper Dolls is made of funny, true-life stories that accidentally rhyme — messy humans, bad decisions, and the part where you laugh about it later.
Of Starlight & Myth is the opposite corner of the room: moody, tribal art‑pop, dreamy and deep, pulled from the Starlight Archives.
One writes in ink, the other writes in stardust.”
