Velvet Umbrella Radio
After Hours
Curated. Unfiltered.
Nocturnal.
A private broadcast under velvet light. Where tension hums and silence means something.
Velvet Umbrella Radio
Velvet Umbrella Radio is the shadow side of Eclectic Wonderland.
Broadcasting from the Driftless region of Wisconsin, it’s the late-night wing of DJ Celeste’s radio universe - where the playlists get stranger, the lights get lower, and the records come from the darker corners of the bin.
What started as a community radio show grew into a small constellation of programs hosted by DJ Celeste, Mr Announcer Man, and the increasingly mischievous Mickey Fingers.
Some shows wander through indie pop, new wave, surf rock, and alternative classics.
Others drift into darker territory - post-punk, dark-wave, dream pop, cold-wave, and cinematic late-night soundscapes.
We’re here for the lifers, the insomniacs, and anyone who still makes playlists like they matter.
Peace, love, and cosmic bunny rabbits.
The front door.
A weekly community radio broadcast where DJ Celeste, Mr Announcer Man, and Mickey Fingers spin an off-road mix of indie, alternative, new wave, surf, and the random earworms that refuse to leave the group chat.
Call it:
late-bloom main-character radio.
The shadow door.
Hosted by Mickey Fingers and DJ Celeste, After Hours is where the format loosens and the night gets weird.
Deep cuts, strange signals, storytelling, unexpected detours, and the occasional musical obsession that refuses to stay quiet.
Not the daytime show.
Petals & Hooks
A darkwave chapel inside the After Hours cathedral.
Petals & Hooks explores the colder side of the record bin: darkwave, post-punk, coldwave, goth, dream pop, synth noir, and the music that sounds best after midnight.
Legend has it the mix first appeared when the Puppet Master slipped through the curtain and left Celeste a playlist.
No one has confirmed this.
But the music stayed.
